Books & Brews is more than a library — it is a space to read, learn, connect and grow.
Established in September 2023, Books & Brews is a curated community library created with a simple belief: books, knowledge and opportunities to learn should be accessible to everyone.
Every day, students arrive to study, children discover new stories, families explore books together, and visitors find a quiet corner to read, think or simply slow down.
Books & Brews began with a simple thought: everyone deserves a welcoming place to read, learn, discover and belong.
At the heart of Books & Brews is our commitment to promoting literacy and lifelong learning. Our curated collection is open to readers of all ages, with a special focus on Children’s and Young Adult books. We keep in-house reading completely free because access to books and knowledge should not depend on someone's ability to pay.
We also wanted to create a genuine community hub — a safe, comfortable and inclusive space where people can read, meet, participate in events, attend workshops or simply spend some peaceful time away from the rush of everyday life.
Our Little Free Library takes this philosophy beyond our walls by encouraging people to take, share and circulate books within the community. It is a small initiative built around a larger belief: the more a book travels, the more lives it can touch.
But learning does not happen through books alone. Books & Brews provides space for training and development programmes, workshops, storytelling, art and craft, exhibitions, educational activities, skill development and community initiatives. We want people to have opportunities not only to acquire knowledge, but also to develop new interests, skills and confidence.
And because reading should also be an experience to enjoy, our in-house café arranges tea, coffee, cakes and refreshments for readers. Sometimes all one needs is a good book, a quiet corner and a warm cup of coffee.
We believe libraries can contribute to education, equality, personal development and well-being. They provide access to information, help bridge gaps in opportunity, encourage curiosity and offer something increasingly valuable — a peaceful space to pause, reflect and connect.
That is why we started Books & Brews.
Not simply to create another library, but to create a space where books open doors, learning continues throughout life, ideas are shared, and a stronger community grows around them.
